The
Central Mass chapter of the FOOLS was created in 2004 by
five Central Massachusetts Firefighters. This group of brothers
had seen and heard about the FOOLS International through
some training seminars and by meeting some of the original
Founding FOOLS from Central Florida. They were impressed
by what the FOOLS stood for and decided to start a chapter
in the Fitchburg area to create an avenue for Firefighters
from the area to gather and spread the traditions and brotherhood
of the region. They also wanted to bring some high quality
real world training to the area by sponsoring trainings
and bringing it to the firefighters of the region at a reasonable
cost. The group has grown from there and as of October of
2007 has over 50 members from throughout Worcester and Middlesex
County and beyond.
